The flagship startup and technology event, Latitude59 has opened applications for its flagship startup pitch competition in Tallinn, Estonia, offering early-stage African startups a chance to compete for international investment opportunities.
The announcement follows the conference’s satellite event held in Nairobi, Kenya in December 2025, which attracted about 2,500 participants, nearly 200 investors, and representatives from almost 900 startups across 50 countries.
Kenyan startup Mediakits.io, which won the Nairobi pitch competition, will receive fast-track access to the Estonia pre-finals along with a booth at the main conference.
According to Liisi Org, CEO of Latitude59, the competition is among the most influential in Northern Europe and aims to help promising startups connect with investors, mentors, and global tech networks.
Applications for the 2026 competition close on April 15, with 15 teams set to advance to the semi-finals before the winners are announced during the conference final May 22. The event will run from 20–22 May 2026 under the theme “The Global Village Experiment.”
