Kenya will co-host the Africa-France Summit with France on 11–12 May 2026 in Nairobi, under the theme “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnership for Innovation and Growth.”

Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary & Cabinet Secretary for Foreign & Diaspora Affairs, engaged Africa’s Diplomatic Corps in Paris ahead of the Summit.

He highlighted that the event aims to drive investment, scale innovation, strengthen economic cooperation, and deliver practical solutions to shared Africa-France priorities.

As the first non-Francophone African country to host the Summit, Kenya is taking a leading role in shaping a results-driven agenda that reflects Africa’s ambitions and development goals, Musalia Mudavadi shared on X.

Africa and France share a long history of political, economic, and cultural engagement, including partnerships in trade, technology, education, and climate action.

The Summit is designed to build on this legacy, creating a platform for African nations to co-create strategies with France that foster sustainable growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Musalia Mudavadi emphasized that African diplomatic missions in Paris are not mere observers but central actors in mobilizing partnerships, aligning priorities, and translating Africa-France relations into tangible outcomes.

The Summit is expected to attract business leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across Africa and France, reinforcing Nairobi as a hub for continental and international collaboration.

Through this Summit, Kenya seeks to position Africa as a key partner in global innovation and economic development while strengthening bilateral ties with France and advancing Africa’s collective agenda on the international stage.
