French football legend and former Arsenal and Manchester City star Bacary Sagna toured major landmarks in Addis Ababa, including the Adwa Victory Memorial, Unity Park, and other popular tourist attractions, commending the capital’s rapidly modernizing infrastructure.
During his visit, Sagna paid a courtesy call on Tourism Minister Selamawit Kassa, who introduced Ethiopia’s national tourism brand, Land of Origins, highlighting the country’s rich natural and cultural heritage alongside newly developed destinations.
She noted that visits by global figures like Sagna help strengthen Ethiopia’s international image.
Sagna described his stay as memorable, praising Bishoftu’s scenic resorts and expressing appreciation for the warm hospitality of the Ethiopian people.
Ethiopia, located in the Horn of Africa, is known for its rich history, diverse cultures, and rapidly growing urban centers.
The country is home to a mix of modern infrastructure and historic landmarks, attracting both local and international tourists.
