The President shared these insights during the inauguration of the Shebelle Resort by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, a ceremony graced by the presence of both President Ismail Omar Guelleh and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

President Ismail Omar Guelleh characterized the Shabeely Resort as a landmark achievement that bolsters the burgeoning tourism integration within the Horn of Africa.

He noted that the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has resulted development projects that solidify regional linkages and that the resort stands as an evocative destination which will significantly elevate the standard of regional tourism.

Furthermore, he explained that such infrastructure is instrumental in deepening the economic ties between sisterly nations.

President Ismail Omar Guelleh also extended his appreciation to the people of the Somali Region for their dedication to peace, which has laid the groundwork for development projects that yield tangible public benefits.
