The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade has joined President Mnangagwa and the people of Zimbabwe in commemorating the country’s 46th Anniversary of Independence.

This year’s celebrations are being held under the theme “Zimbabwe at 46: Unity and Development Towards Vision 2030,” reflecting a renewed national commitment to inclusive growth, economic transformation, and improved livelihoods for all citizens.

The Ministry emphasized that the anniversary is not only a moment of reflection on Zimbabwe’s liberation legacy, but also an opportunity to reinforce efforts toward strengthening trade and investment cooperation.

These efforts are seen as central to achieving Vision 2030 and building a prosperous and resilient nation.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with countries and multilateral institutions that align with national development priorities and respect sovereign equality.

Zimbabwe continues to position itself as a confident and dignified partner on the global stage, rooted in its heritage and dedicated to advancing the integrity, dignity, and prosperity of its people.

As the nation marks this milestone, the Ministry reiterated its dedication to promoting unity and sustainable development, underpinned by the belief that a country is built by its own people, leaving no one and no place behind.
