Participants of the inaugural African Social Media Influencers Summit (ASMIS 2026) visited Adama City in the Oromia region today as part of their program in Ethiopia.
During the visit, the delegation toured the city and engaged with its cultural environment, expressing admiration for their experience.

The influencers praised the city’s atmosphere and the warm hospitality of its residents, describing Adama as a “City of Peace” and highlighting it as a remarkable and impressive urban center. They noted that the visit further reinforced their view of Ethiopia as a country that reflects the beauty and diversity of Africa.

ASMIS 2026, held in Addis Ababa from May 7 to 8, brought together over 200 of Africa’s leading social media creators, digital innovators, and thought leaders for a high-level dialogue on the continent’s global image. The Ethiopian capital has been buzzing with creative energy, hosting 61 leading influencers from 30 African countries, with a combined following of over 321 million, alongside 120 Ethiopian content creators with more than 150 million followers.
The gathering combined dialogue, cultural exchange, and networking, marking a key moment in Africa’s effort to reclaim its narrative globally. Participants emphasized the need for an authentic, powerful, and creator-driven African voice in shaping the continent’s digital future.
