A high-level Ethiopian business delegation from Africa Holding Group (AHG), accompanied by Ambassador Muktar Mohammed, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Algeria, and diplomats from the Ethiopian Embassy in Algiers, paid a working visit to GISB Electric, a leading Algerian manufacturer of electrical cables.

The visit aimed to explore potential areas of industrial cooperation between Ethiopian and Algerian enterprises.

Ambassador Muktar emphasized Ethiopia’s growing investment in the energy sector and its increasing electric power generation capacity driven by major dam projects.

He noted that this growth is creating strong demand for high-quality electrical infrastructure materials, offering a promising market for joint ventures and technology transfer.

Highlighting GISB Electric’s advanced production capabilities, the Ambassador expressed confidence that collaboration with an Ethiopian partner could contribute significantly to Ethiopia’s infrastructure development.

He underlined that the Embassy facilitated this engagement to open pathways for mutually beneficial partnerships between the two sides.

Executives from Africa Holding Group echoed this commitment, noting that the visit provided a clearer understanding of opportunities for future cooperation.

Both parties agreed to pursue further discussions toward establishing a joint venture that would strengthen industrial ties and support local manufacturing in Ethiopia.
