Who is Prime Minister Lawrence Wong Shyun
Lawrence Wong Shyun Tsai is the fourth and current Prime Minister of Singapore and also serves as its Minister for Finance.
He became Prime Minister on May 15, 2024, succeeding Lee Hsien Loong, and is the first Singaporean prime minister born after the nation's independence in 1965.
Career and Background
Political Career: Wong entered politics in 2011 and is a prominent member of the People's Action Party (PAP), becoming its Secretary-General in December 2024.
Wong has previously served in various ministerial roles before assuming the position of Prime Minister.
