Morocco’s national team captured the Arab Cup trophy after a thrilling 3–2 victory over Jordan in a final that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the very last minute.
The Atlas Lions made an electrifying start, opening the scoring just three minutes in. Oussama Tannane stunned the Jordanian side with a powerful long-range strike, capitalizing on the goalkeeper’s advanced position.
Morocco dominated much of the first half and came close to doubling their lead in the 40th minute, only to be denied by a crucial defensive block from Jordan’s Issam Smeeri.
Jordan fought back in the second half. Ali Olwan headed home the equalizer early after the break, and in the 65th minute, converted a penalty to put the Jordanians ahead 2–1.
Just when it seemed the title might slip away, Abderrazak Hamdallah reignited Moroccan hopes with a vital equalizer in the 86th minute, sending the match into extra time at 2–2.
Morocco maintained relentless pressure in the first period of extra time, and Hamdallah struck again in the 100th minute, finishing a perfectly timed pass from Marwane Saâdane to complete a dramatic comeback and secure the title.
Hamdallah’s decisive performance earned him the Man of the Match award for his two crucial goals.
This triumph marks Morocco’s second Arab Cup title, the first coming in 2012, reinforcing the nation’s growing prominence in Arab football.
