Senegalese football star Sadio Mané has officially announced the launch of the Sadio Mané International Institute, expanding his influence beyond football and strengthening his commitment to youth development through sport, education, and social support.
The project aims to empower African youth while connecting them to global training standards.
The former Liverpool FC forward, now playing for Al Nassr FC, has built a strong reputation for philanthropy, funding schools, hospitals, and community projects in Senegal.

His latest initiative continues that legacy by creating opportunities for young athletes both on and off the pitch, and providing pathways for African talent to gain international exposure.
According to DaveOCKOP, an independent fan-focused football news platform, the institute will be based in Bourges, where Mané owns Le Bourges FC, a fourth-tier French side he purchased in 2023.

The centre will combine elite football training with education, employability skills, mentorship, and social integration programmes, preparing youth for professional sport and alternative careers.
Beyond football, the initiative reflects a broader African trend of top players reinvesting in grassroots development.
Across the continent, limited facilities and structured academies often restrict young talent. Mané’s project seeks to bridge that gap by linking African prospects with international standards, while also promoting leadership, discipline, and life skills.
As one of Africa’s most celebrated footballers, who led Senegal to continental glory at the Africa Cup of Nations, Mané’s institute underscores the potential for African stars to shape global football while giving back to their home continent.
